Biography: Jeff is the founding partner of Cure & Bain, P.C. He focuses his practice on farm & ranch matters, estate planning and administration, and criminal defense. As a native of Eastern Colorado, Jeff has an ingrained understanding and appreciation for the rural way of life.

Jeff attributes his work ethic, integrity, and common sense problem solving skills to many hours of work on his family’s farm and cattle operation near Bethune. His extensive experience in agriculture gives him a unique perspective when approaching cases for his farming and ranching clients.

Jeff received his Bachelor’s Degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver and then graduated in the top one-third of his class from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Kansas.

Biography: After practicing law in the Kansas City area for the previous six years, Joe started practicing in Western Kansas in 2011. While in Kansas City, Joe focused primarily on commercial disputes and issues, particularly in the construction and insurance areas. Joe currently focuses his practice on civil litigation, contract and real estate matters, and criminal defense. Joe grew up in a small community in Western Kansas where he learned the importance of hard work, commitment, and unwavering focus. He has utilized and leveraged these same values throughout his legal career, representing corporate and individual clients in a variety of high stakes situations. Joe graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Fort Hays State University in 2002 and then received his law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2005. Biography: Kathy has worked in the legal profession for nearly twenty years. Prior to Cure & Bain, Kathy gained extensive experience working for Richard D. Thomas P.C. in Burlington. She acquired her paralegal degree from The School of Legal Studies, Professional Career Development Institute in 2006 and a specialty diploma for Estates, Estate Planning, and Trust in 2007.

Kathy assists the firm’s attorneys with estate administration and planning matters in both Colorado and Kansas. She enjoys helping clients find prompt and practical solutions to their estate questions or concerns. With years of experience working with Mr. Thomas, Kathy has proven herself a valuable asset to the firm’s clients as they navigate the legal process.

Kathy and her husband Lonnie own a local family mechanic business. They have four teenagers and enjoy spending their free time exploring all that nature has to offer.

Biography: BreeAnn Duell started working for Cure & Bain in May of 2011. She grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho and completed her Bachelor’s degree at Boise State University followed by her Master’s degree at Idaho State University. During college, BreeAnn actively participated in extra-curricular activities such as: SAAC (student athlete advisory committee), Psi-Chi Honor Society, and both as a Teaching and Research Assistant. BreeAnn is a published author for research articles in Athletic Insight and has presented research at accredited psychology conventions. 
Prior to working at Cure & Bain, BreeAnn was a soccer coach at Boise State University, University of Northern Colorado and an assistant for the U-18 Women’s National Team Camp. Her and her husband, Barrett, now reside in Goodland, Kansas.
